Various posts have comments about various groups with many/most of them negatively inclined, other than the NRA. So, is there any group other than the NRA that is actually on the correct side of the issues? If so, which one(s)?

Depends on the issue. Typically I agree with the NRA, not always but usually. Same goes for the TSRA. Another Group I respect, although I have some issues with them is the Second Amendment Foundation. Alan Gottlieb (SAF) has indicated a willingness to compromise on background checks,

Groups I do not particularly care for:
Gun Owners of America (GOA)
National Association for Gun Rights (NAGR)
Open Carry Texas (OCT)
Open Carry Tarrant County (OCTC)

I am a results based personality. The groups I endorse or support can show real results. The groups I do not care for either cause negative results or have no results to show for any effort they may have made. NAGR will take an issue such as Immigration and try to make it a gun rights issue with logic along the lines of "If we support letting more illegals stay then their children born here will be citizens. Those children will vote democrat when they are 18 and democrats tend to be gun banners. Now with that we know that the immigration reform effort is actually an anti-gun effort..."

As for immigration and so called Anchor babies or US born Citizen whose parents are non-legal residents, since it is a matter of fact and the born babies are US citizens, how about when they grow up the Republicans will do an effort to prompt its conservative and core values to those US citizens.
BTW, not all immigrants would vote blue. Many of latinos immigrants (legal residents or otherwise) have conservative views and they are pro family.

I for one, I do support Ron Paul views on the Foreign Policy. And, more spending and accountability for Education. Less social welfare and more job stimulus (like tax credit for US jobs). I am socially conservative too (old school).I am against sexual liberalism and more with personal accountability.

I'm not sure what specifically you're referring to, but I postulate that the deference with which the NRA and TSRA are typically treated on this board has a lot more to do with their political expertise, lobbying tactics, and legislative track record than with exactly where they stand on each and every issue. I don't always agree with the NRA and TSRA, but I respect them as competent professionals. Unlike the groups (e.g., Open Carry Texas) that are frequently maligned on this board, the NRA and TSRA understand Texas politics and know how to effect political change. That's a significant part of the reason the fight for gun rights has traditionally been a bipartisan issue in the Lone Star State. The groups that catch so much flack around these parts tend to be the ones that don't understand the Texas legislative process, don't understand the many factors and personalities at play in Texas politics, and don't understand how to win friends and influence people.

That is very subjective. Every political group thinks they're on the correct side of the issues. Its supporters/members think it's on the correct side of the important issues or they wouldn't be supporters/members.

Second Amendment Foundation does great work. They get my contributions. They are doing the hard sledding, and in a very strategically sound manner. My 2 cents.
