They come up with something as biased and false as "Young and Armed in America."

Biased and false? Opinion based on a sub 4 min clip. I won't DVR it, but I would watch a segment if I was home and it was on.

I was in middle school when one of my classmates accidently shot his best friend in the back of the head. They were investigating what ended up being a cat in the attic. The shooter was pretty messed up for a long time.

Yes, biased and false. All of the statistics they present are either entirely made up or misrepresentations. How many unlocked firearms do children have access to? Made up. There is no way to get such a number except by guessing. How many children killed by guns......how many of those "children" are gang bangers? Where are comparable statistics as to how children die, such as the fact that more die from drowning than are killed with guns? False equivalence is not balance, it's the opposite, but masked by a pretense of balance.

Granted, it's more sly than the usual anti-gun garbage, but watch how they manipulate the presentation....for instance, throwing out made up numbers, and not challenging anti-gun lies lends credibility and ensures they will be recirculated. The segment where children are exposed to a gun....for how many of those children are guns a forbidden object glamorized by Hollywood or children whose families don't own guns and who have received no instruction or training?

Also, referring to everyone under age 18 as a "child" is both misleading and factually incorrect according to the laws of many states, including Texas. (If I'm not mistaken, "children" are statutorily defined as being age 10 or under.)

In article 51.02(2) of the Family Code a child is defined as:

(2) "Child" means a person who is:
(A) ten years of age or older and under 17 years of age; or
(B) seventeen years of age or older and under 18 years of age who is alleged or found to have engaged in delinquent conduct or conduct indicating a need for supervision as a result of acts committed before becoming 17 years of age.

Thanks. I just looked up that FC section and I don't see any definition for people under age 10. I guess they don't count.

I know the “not” sign should be at the top but I can’t get my computer to do that.

I've seen examples of the antis listing 18-26 year olds as "children." If they might just possibly be claimable by their parents as a dependent, for taxes, school, insurance, obamacare, whatever, or if someone else their age might be claimable, then they're a "child."
