People who are this delusional are simply incapable of rational thought. These mental cases not only don't want women to have guns, they don't even want them to fight off an attacker by any means. Well, if someone tries to rape my wife, they're going to get shot.

I agree: Women should NOT HAVE to protect themselves. Neither should Men Have to protect themselves.

Both are without a functioning brain if they refuse to learn to protect themselves.

Yep... "should not" and "do not" are two very different things.

What naïveté to think in any society beyond the garden of Eden that women have not needed to defend themselves. Even in the garden there was a lying snake to deal with.

If women shouldn't have to defend themselves, why did women in the Elizabethan era and Victorian era carry weapons? Most women in the Elizabethan era especially the nobles, had a dagger or dirk hidden on their person. Victorian women carried the same edged weapons but also had what was known as a 'Muff Gun" so called because it was small enough to hide handily in the lady's hand warming muff that were so popular in those days.

There's evidence that Greek and Roman women were armed. I am sure as soon as they were kicked out of the Garden of Eden Adam and Eve armed themselves.

I've heard that in Roman times only certain citizens of Rome were allowed to go armed with swords in the city. Supposedly even military personnel entering the city for victory parades had to disarm at the gates and the Praetorian Guards were armed with long staffs, not edged weapons...the "assault rifles" of those days. On the other hand my knowledge of Roman history is limited to Ben Hur reruns and the Gospel heard in Church which is generally not dealing with the PC 30.06 equivalents of 2000+ years ago.

On the way to see my Dad for Father's Day, we passed a woman walking all alone on a remote country road a long ways from the nearest house. I was concerned for her so we turned round to offer her a ride. She declined and explained she is training for a long distance race. I point blank asked her if she had any means of self defense on her and she smiled with that look we CHL'ers know. Yes. I said good! Every woman should have bad guy repellent on them at all times. If only more women would wake up and admit all the far left misguided deluded dreaming on earth will not help them when the predator singles them out in the here and now. I agree we should not have to fear any harm from anyone but women have never lived in that world and I do not believe we ever will.

I agree - sadly, I don't think we will ever be safe here on earth. I'm anxiously awaiting my plastic. I had to run out late last night for a family emergency, and I was thinking how much better I would have felt with it on my body.....not tucked away in my car.
