perhaps a new amendment really does need to be proposed:

"An enumeration of certain inalienable natural rights being necessary to the continued liberty of a free people, no branch of government nor any government agency may modify, restrict, tax or attempt to repeal any of the first ten amendments to this Constitution."

I usually just use, "What part of SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED are you just too stupid to understand?"

If a government that mandates which religion we much worship is considered "bad", why would one that attempts to restrict our access or choices in firearms not be also considered "bad"?

Even if the whole BOR were eliminated, we still have those rights. The BOR just states (enumerates) the rights that preexisted the document. The rights are from God, not man, not the government. The government exists with our permission.

100% but try explaining that if it gets to the point where gun confiscation becomes a reality.....as of now there is no chance in heck at least in Texas. But for NY and CT it is VERY NEAR becoming a reality. I'm looking forward to how it turns out when enough people have had enough and aren't willing to back down anymore.
