The moron helped turn himself into a felon. Good for him, he deserves exactly what he gets. I'm sure he will be prosecuted just like any other American...

Well now....caught by your own trap? If it was anyone else I would have great sympathy for them.....this guy....well I would not wish ill upon anyone, however I do hope at the end of this he will see ther error of his ways and how good and innocent people get busted on stupid laws and have their lives destroyed.

Barry or Cuomo will grant him a complete pardon.

We are no longer a nation of laws and not of men.

Released without bail, cause he's such a neat guy. So will he lose his CHL now? Or will he get to keep it after charges are dismissed cause he is such a neat guy.

Is there one law for neat guys and one for the rest of us?

We will find out.

We already know the answer. We are just waiting on the confirmation.

I am torn both ways on this one. The guy appears to be a good guy with trying to help inner city kids and for this I like him. On the other hand he is trying to take away my constitutional right to carry and protect myself and he understands the need to carry for protection as he does it for himself. Wish it would have happened to an anti-gun advocate that wasn't a do gooder too.

Agreed. I'm not sure if it was the article linked in the original post, or not, but I believe I read somewhere that there were 2 calls to the police reporting him.

This is one of those I'm not sure he's the enemy deals...
Yes, he supported laws that made it illegal to carry firearms into public schools. I don't think that makes him the devil. Do you have to follow the NRA to the letter or be a radical 2nd amendment person, otherwise you're a "gun control advocate" ? Agree with it or not, it's an issue with a lot of debate associated with it and I'm not going to get polarized over it that when there are "big picture" issues to consider.

He's also been involved with anti-gang organizations and supports youth programs. He clearly has a concealed license and carries a gun. How does that give with gun control advocate?
Apparently he forgot he was carrying.. That ever happen to anyone here?

Doing more digging, it appears that other "gun control" he's commented on was touched off by that fact that gang kids are buying firearms via private transactions. Again, I can understand his perspective if he works with gangs and kids. Don't agree with it, but understand it.

What if someone is anti open-carry? Are they gun control advocates too?

Apparently the entire situation was triggered by an "anonymous tip"... Smells fishy to me. I wonder what side called that tip in? I wonder how many of us could get caught in a similar net?

There is so much polarization on this forum. No room for much disagreement... My guess is there are lots of people that don't say a word that might rock the boat.
