For Greater Glory: The True Story of Cristiada

Anyone on here see this movie? Just watched it on Netflix. Sure exemplifies how difficult it can be to defend a societies rights without the proper tools. The Mexicans had a very hard time defending their freedom of religion without free access to guns. Many died defending their rights. We need to realize history can always repeat itself if we remain ignorant and/or apathetic.

I hate to say it, I was ignorant of these events. Worth watching if you have any interest.

The loss of our gun rights would be the first of many dominoes to fall.

No, we just finished, "EASY RIDER", but I'll check on it via Netflix.

I've seen the movie and recommend it.

It did seem to be a Pro 2nd amendment movie. (Also, pro 1st amendment)

If that movie is titled, "FOR GREATER GLORY" and is about a Mexican revolt, it's in our Netflix queue. If not, Netflix doesn't have it.

When you need to watch an inspirational / feel good movie, 'For Greater Glory" is a good one.
There are gun fights, smuggling ammo, horses, church, evil politicians. Not quite a western but around the same time and place as "The Wild Bunch".

I am not sure that I would buy it but I watched it on Net Flicks or another service like it.

We quit buying them a long time ago. With our Netflix plan, we can get 15-20 movies a month for the purchase price of one.

Years ago, I was advised to stop renting and buy. That way you can accumulate some equity rather than throwing your money away every month. :thumbs2:

Saw the movie about a year ago in the theater and highly recommend it. Like the OP I too was ignorant of this episode in Mexican history. The courage of the Mexicans standing up to their government in the name of religious freedom is very inspiring. Given the attacks against the 1st and 2nd amendments, this may indeed be in our future. Assuming we have the courage of our neighbors.

add me to the list of the un informed. I had no idea that happened in Mexico but let it be a little lesson on what is to come here if people don't wake up and smell the coffee....
