One of my facebook anti's posted this. Apparently there were 50 ND's this week.

Well, that sure seems like some very large number, doesn't it? Except for the fact that there is estimated to be somewhere between 250 and 300 MILLION firearms in the USA. A quick bit of calculator-fu tells me that 50 firearms is about .00002 percent of the firearms in this country, using the smaller estimate and assuming that none of them were repeat NDs. Now, I know that the figure of 250 million firearms can be parsed down in various ways, but even after doing that stuff, it still adds up to a lot of firearms were NOT negligently discharged this week. Not to make light of a lack of firearms safety, nor of those who got shot, but that number doesn't look very big anymore...however its such a wonderful bit of hype for the antis to spew around, I'm sure they're very proud of themselves.

A simple reply is "will you agree to condemn anything that has a higher accident/death rate than the NDs?" It will be a very long list.
