Hmm. Guns are used in mass shootings by criminals in two of his hometowns, Washington DC and Chicago. In both locations guns are completely illegal.

Rather than working on the specifics of those two crimes, and how to prevent them in the future, instead, Obama encourages legislation to keep honest citizens from purchasing and owning guns to protect themselves from the violence that they see.

Here we go again. I did not see anyone talking and those 30,000 who died each year in Car accidents. I hate most drunk drivers driving the opposite direction in HWs and making havoc and mayhem.

30K per yr or 82 each day, or 3 each hr!

Here is what's funny (not haha funny)...I saw this morning on the sunday news shows that they are touting the normal background check expansion bit. But shouldn't we put that argument to bed since the Navy shooting was done by someone with a background check much more comprehensive than a simple NICS check? Doesn't that prove that background checks are not effective?

Who do you mean by "we"? Its certainly not me you have to worry about going to pulling one of these nutcase stunts. In fact, it seems like its the liberal-progressive types with mental issues on psychotropic meds who like to randomly pick a "gun free zone" and shoot a bunch of folks. If there is anything "we" need to do, its to figure out how to get them to settle down.
