It looks like a watered down version of the Texas Legislature's solution to crime on college campuses, at sporting events, etc.

Looks like that would be a safe place for an armed criminal to commit an easy crime...

"Gun Free Zone" signs defy even the smallest tests of logic. Sad, really.

If I wanted to rob a place I would look for a cease fire sign
Then it would be safe for me no armed resistance

In leftist thought, someone who is willing to commit armed robbery and murder wouldn't dare walk past a sign that threatens the possibility of a criminal trespass charge because doing so would be a violation of an inviolable rule (defined as one they create).

Has anyone ever seen this charge leveled at someone who committed an armed robbery or homicide in a premises with these signs at the entrance?

The arresting officers and DA know it's a farce, and although it's a slam dunk charge, they'd be embarrassed to file it.

Only the people who are proud of the sign figure it'll probably work next time.

BUT.........You would have to commit the crime without a gun.
Didn't you read the sign?

I'd like to know where that sign was obtained. Reading the Seattle code laws listed at the bottom of the sign makes no mention of firearms as far as I can tell, and looking at SMC 12A.14.080 "Unlawful use of weapons", which is not listed on that sign, makes this sign no more binding than the gunbuster signs found in Austin or anywhere else in Texas.
The statute says that you can make your own sign but I think whoever made this sign did not comply with the Seattle Municipal Codes here , here, here, and here.
And this is the official sign. It basically says you must be a patron and not committing any crime. Concealed carry seems to be perfectly legal as far as I've read so far. I haven't done all the research yet but I know someone here is sure to.
I believe there is safety in numbers..
numbers like: 9, .22, .38, .357, .45, .223, 5.56, 7.62, 6.5, .30-06...

Are they going to attach that sign to their Seattle City limits sign?

Maybe they'll make several out of armor plating. That way they can hide behind them when the inevitable time comes......

I saw a great sign today on Facebook.

Question was: Exactly where do you find criminals that obey the law?
