Very good video. I think Bill did a great job of calling it like he see's it, and alot of people see it. Only thing I really disagree with is his opinion on mandatory school uniforms

Zimmerman didn't confront Martin. Martin confronted Zimmerman. Zimmerman followed Martin. Martin hid and then when Zimmerman was returning to his car, Martin jumped out from his hiding place and confronted Zimmerman.........with great physicality.......whereupon Zimmerman defended himself. We all know the outcome. O'Reilly bloviates as much as anybody else.O'Reilly wrote:Zimmerman shouldn't have confronted Martin for the way he looked.....

Why? The way someone dresses creates divides and conflict. Whether it is bullying or gang related. Eliminate the people being segregated based on this and it is one less thing to interfere with why they are there. To learn! The Count wrote:Very good video. I thought the video was great, but unfortunately as good as his talking points are no one will listen. I think the point he may have been referring to with Z was him getting out of the car, not confronting him per say. I know many people who believe this.

I understand your point. I guess it's just that I attended a really small school, where everyone was pretty close to the same income level and race. Plus we also had fairly strict dress codes which were very much enforced, so we all sorta dressed the similar anyway. My child will be in a somewhat similar school, so I guess I don't see the need for it, in my situation. But I can definitely understand how it could be beneficial.Wes wrote:Why? I too believe he hit a home run on many of the issues. But... you just can't say that young black girls should stop having children out of wedlock. At the same time we are defunding sources of birth control and even legal abortion. Perhaps many young girls want to have a baby for social reasons or perhaps financial reasons. Perhaps they don't want to have the baby but can not terminate the pregnancy because they can not have access to a legal abortion. Every child born in Texas costs the taxpayer at least $5,000 a year in school district expenses. That's my property tax bill going to that school district. Plus the fact that most of these young girls will end up on welfare. I will not argue the abortion debate but I do feel that the latest Texas legislation on abortions and the funding of family planning clinics may protect the "unborn children" but make me pay for those children and perpetuate the problem even further. Wouldn't we be much better off making sure that these young girls got adequate birth control, encourage them to not get pregnant by limiting welfare, and realizing that public service announcements are not going to break the cycle. For the average person, sterilization can be done at any age. If a woman is on medicaid she must be 21 (plus 30 days) to get sterilized. I have seen women that are 20 with 5 children that are just too stupid to keep from getting pregnant but they can't legally get sterilzed and so we all have to pay that bill. 5 children means $25,000 a year in property taxes for the school district and who knows how much for welfare. I know O'Reilly is a strict catholic but somehow we must prevent some of these pregnancies if we are ever going to break the cycle. What's even worse is that when one measures iQ level versus number of children one has we find that intelligent people tend to have a small family size and low IQ people tend to have a large family size. So, the population of lower intelligence ( if this is hereditary) grows geometrically. Of course this is great for the democrats, a huge population of dependent, low IQ voters. The U.S. is starting to look more and more like Detroit.

Pure hogwash.
They keep having babies out of wedlock because it makes their welfare payments bigger.

No access to birth control...huh? Go down to planned parenthood it is either free or nearly free. At target birth control is $40 a month with no insurance.
No birth control....Baloney.
The problem is that our culture in general and that culture in specific have degraded human sexuality to the point where it is acceptable to be intimate with anyone and everyone. As a culture we need is to realize that intimacy is not like a handshake....that one should only be intimate when one is in a permanent or semi permanent relationship with an adult. That point of view which would save many many lives is considered old fashioned and and irrelevant. Hook-up culture and multiple partners is considered the norm. I can't fix that in the general populace, but I can in my household.

I took him to mean that the uniforms need to be required in under performing urban schools to coincide with a disciplined approach to education. The Count wrote:I understand your point. Everything you say may be correct but FYI birth control pills at WalMart are $9 a month cash. As for Family Planning Clinics, we all know that there is a campaign to defund these clinics. I personally would rather keep them going than pay to support unwanted children. I honestly don't know whether women really have children to receive a welfare check or not. I do know that there are bad people everywhere, like keeping old and disabled military vets in captivity to take their retirement check. As I said, I see the U.S. as turning into a big Detroit. We are in a 3 class society, the takers, the providers (which I assume most of us are) and the rulers- the dictators that try to control us- Mr. Obama is their king.

If you don't have $9 a month for BC I suggest the oldest and most effective form of birth control, abstinence. I would not suggest what I see as murder if inconvenient people as a solution for tax policy.

Women can't carry a condom anymore? Seems that's even cheaper. It's not a money thing though, it's a lack of concern. They just don't care or simply don't think it will happen this time. I'm not sure how you change that attitude.
