The range we qual at work only allows green bullets, so it limits what we can shoot / carry. They have the normal stuff like 9/40/45 but that is it.

Hey, didn't you read the article? Lead bullets used in hunting can harm children and fetuses (those that aren't aborted anyway) --I guess when they're crawling over hunting grounds and eating bullets. So, IT"S FOR THE CHILDREN! Aren't you for the children? What kind of heartless racist are you? If it saves just one life (not counting aborted fetuses) then it's worth it isn't it?
Guess I'm not going to be able to slow my ammo purchases anytime soon.

So I dug for a little bit, looking for a statement by the administration regarding the reason why and if they're promoting the use of lead free bullets.
I found no direct reference to verbiage by the administration. I'd like to see the original cite, if you guys don't mind. Anyone have it?
I did find this:

I don't mind lead-free carry ammo, as long as it works just as well and doesn't cost more.

So the Federal Government should immediately cease all ammunition purchases and send the lead ammo back to the distribution center for re-sale to the Citizens, and start buying lead free ammunition. Where are all the Legislators? Let's get this idea rammed through right now and the Federal Government can be as green as they wish.
