Silly, childish, uninformed, grandstanding, media hyping, sure. Avowed communist/socialist, no. She just mumbles those things to get reelected.

I don't think I would have put honorable in front of any of those names. To be honest, a large number of those names don't surprise me though. Several of them I figured would be on the list based on their behavior. It is unfortunate that there are seventy of them though.

I consider all Democrats either socialists or communists, a distinction without a difference as far as I am concerned.

There was a time when the Democrats were not socialists. I certainly don't think of Harry Truman or John Kennedy as socialists. Something happened during the '60's, when the old Communist Party USA which had been infiltrated by the FBI, and couldn't even hold a picnic, aligned itself with the doper dirtball hippies of that era, avowed socialists, and made common cause together. Those doper dirtballs of the McCarty/McGovern era eventually took over the Democrat Party and turned it to socialism and communism which has now become fixed in their value system. The old playbook was out the window, replaced by Alinski et al. I refer to the Clinton/Fonda/Ayers/Kerry crowd.

None of them want to admit it, because the term still carries "high negatives" with voters. If they knew what they wanted to do, they wouldn't get any votes.

Yes, absolutely, even an honorary chair. But no one as petty, grasping, self centered, egotistical as Ms. Lee could be viewed as a true fellow traveler. The term I would use would be "Useful Idiot" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Useful_idiot .

The anti-war movement of the 60's and 70's and the radical environmental movements were funded by the espionage apparatus of the former Soviet Union and were wholly their creatures.

OK, I'll show my ignorance. The article is about the Socialist Party of America, but the question was "how many member of Congress are members of the DSA. What is the DSA and what is the correlation?

They just threw in "Democratic" to fool their ignorant base. They're "democratic" Just like East Germany was a "democracy" (German Democratic Republic) and Soviet Russia was a "Republic."

So few? I thought surely there were more than 70 Democrats in Congress.
