In a word - no.

The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison

I agree it is societal decay coupled with media showboating for the left.

To my mind it is wholly irresponsible to go into the world incapable of preventing violence, injury, crime, and death. How feeble is the mindset to accept defenselessness. How unnatural. How cheap. How cowardly. How pathetic-TN

According to one stat I heard over the weekend--in the past 20 years, you are more than 6 times(3600 times) to be struck by lightening as to be killed in a mass shooting(512)

Mass murders in the USA are not new. Check out Wounded Knee, Mountain Meadows, Bath MI school, Happy Land social club & Sand Creek to name a few. Of the five foregoing examples, guns played a part in 60% of the murders.
No, mass murders are not becoming more common. What is more common is a media which arguably glorifies the shootings to serve its self-serving, liberal interests....IMO.

Also, population has increased over the last 40 yrs. So, per 100,000 rate is declining like all other murder rates!

If Mass shootings were becoming more popular, I would think the Catholics would be up in arms.

This Catholic is armed while at Mass, but sometimes I am not sure I am "up".jmra wrote:If Mass shootings were becoming more popular, I would think the Catholics would be up in arms.
