I know what yer thinking...Could this be possible, even in the world of Yahoo???

Notice how it was posted at 11pm, 3am now...It will soon fall off the Yahoo radar in short ordder, so I figure we might as well document this as quickly as possible before we lose the proof...

Nothing in here is something we all have not heard before, but it raises some of the argument our side of the equation have been bringing up for YEARS!!!

I'm kinda shocked that this had actually popped up in such a manner and on a website that has been very unbalanced against our side for as long as I can remember...

Stranger things have happened though... :thumbs2:

I notice it is from the Blaze, which is a conservative oriented news site owned by Glenn Beck.

If I had to guess, it was an article they paid Yahoo to promote.

Why complicate the issue?

1) Gun control laws, is a restriction on Good guys that limits their ability to defend themselves against bad guys.
2) Gun control laws, is a protection for bad guys from the use of deadly force by the good guys when good guys defend selves and others.

The gun control law is for the good guys or the bad guys?

On the the other hand, measures such as Safe storage, training and qualification, even court-ordered disarming of a citizen due said citizen Mental health issues are reasonable and effective.

Beiruty,

Really. I know that such language seems reasonable....to a sane, logical man such as yourself. But until Washington is filled with sane, logical men, such language is dangerous.

Even when safety measure is not forced by a law, applying such measure by the gun owner may save his kids life, or avoiding unintentional discharge of said gun and maybe saving another family member life

Or....

1). In January 2013, the Chicago Tribune had the following headline, "US struggles over which gun crimes to prosecute. Obama's Justice Dept has shown little appetite to prosecute what it considers low-level firearms crimes. There were 506 murders in Chicago last year. Federal prosecution for gun crimes was only 63 in fiscal year 2011.

Chicago ranks 89th out of 90 US Attorney's Districts in prosecuting gun crimes according to the Syracuse Univ. Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) which is the gold standard in reviewing the performance of federal LE performance.

2). Under federal law, lying to a licensed gun dealer, lying on form 4473 and straw sales are all serious federal felonies. Holder's Justice Dept. calls them "paper violations". Yet those are the very same crimes that anti-gun background check supporters say demand a background check, which is a national registration scheme for all law abiding gun owners. The Justice Dept isn't prosecuting these serious felonies now and yet those anti-gun politicians want expanded background check.

3) Here are the federal gun statutes with years in prison for violating these laws all citations to United States Code (U.S.C.)

a). 18 U.S.C. (10 yrs prison)-for possession of a firearm or ammunition by a felon, fugitive or drug user. Moreover, possession means simply touching any gun period.

b). 18 U.S.C Sec. 922(j). 10 years prison. For possessing a stolen firearm.

c). 18 U.S.C. sec 922 (i) 10 yrs prison. For shipment or transporting of a stolen firearm across state lines.

d). 18 U.S.C. sec 924 (b) 10 yrs prison. For shipping, transporting or receipt of a firearm across state lines with intent to commit any felony offense.

e). 18 U.S.C. 924 (a)(1)(A) 5 to 30 yrs prison consecutive mandatory sentences for carrying or possessing a firearm in connection with a federal crime of violence or drug trafficking.

f) 18 U.S.C. 924 (j) death penalty or life imprisonment. For committing murder while possessing a firearm in connection with drug trafficking or crime of violence.

g) 18 U.S.C. 924 (e) 15 yrs mandatory prison. for a "prohibited person" who has three prior convictions for drug offenses or violent felonies

h) 18 U.S.C. 924 (g) 10 years prison. For the interstate travel to acquire or transfer a firearm to commit certain felonies.

Give this to every libtard who complains about the failure of gun control and ask them why the Justice Dept prosecute gun crimes now?
