Feinstein tried her best.

Diane Feinstein tried her best? (Dallas Morning News 03/24/2013)

If spreading half truths, prevarications, and outright lies is trying her best, I suppose so.

But according to her own testimony, her justification for seeking the "assault weapons" (whatever they are, the definition keeps morphing) and "high capacity magazine" (actually normal capacity) bans, are because she found the bodies of Harvey Milk and George Moscone after they were murdered and stuck her fingers in the bullet holes.

Both Milk and Moscone were murdered by a criminal wielding a 6 shot revolver, a gun that would be totally unaffected by her proposed gun control measures.

And as one who spent 17 years as a volunteer fireman and EMT, I can't imagine why anyone would stick their fingers into bullet holes unless they were absolutely sick and sadistic. I have heard that she claims that she was trying to stop bleeding of a neck wound in one or the other of the victims, but since both had suffered massive head wounds from two shots to the head by the shooter, that would have been an intuitively obvious waste of time. Or is she just that morbid?

And I have held many more bloody bodies, I'll bet, than she has, and the only thing I see justification for, following her logic, is outlawing cars to prevent drunk driving.

Half truths, prevarications, and outright lies.

No linkey? I tried to find one, but could not.

Some seem to follow the axiom "if you ain't lying and cheating you ain't trying". She is one of them.

Her anti-American/anti-Constitution stance would embarrass a member of the Politburo.

For decades I've not been able to understand how people like her get elected, and re-elected.

Friday I had to drive to LA early for a deposition and spent the whole day testilying, then drove through the streets trying to get back on the freeway to head home. Having seen and looked into the eyes of a good number of Angelenos, observing them in their native habitat, I now have a better idea of how it happens.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

Jim I have never been known for sticking my fingers into bullet holes, tampons yes my fingers no. I have been a Paragod for over 22 years and in combat for well over 3 years and nope can't remember a time when I used my finger, they don't stop bleeding all that well specially when I will have to remove them sometime so that I can start an IV. nor did the esteemed Fienstein ever put her appendage into a hole made by anything other than her finger. yes she is full of baloney and many other things and a liar to boot and has nothing more than the desire to make sure we serfs stay as such and do as we are told.

Never used a tampon, but we carried a box of Kotex in the big kit.

Exactly my point, she sounds an awful lot like those combat veteran wannabes, trying to enhance her credibility by stating that she has been there and done that, when in reality she didn't.

Since she tried her best she needs to be recognized and rewarded for her efforts.
