Apparently, getting shot in the head diminishes one's cognitive abilities.

Can we sign Gabby and Mark to get updates from Texas CHL Forum whenever a new post is made? That way they can know what we are doing as well.

Hey Marky-Mark, I guess it was all that Space Radiation that fried yer mind...

Honestly, I really feel I agree, it is hard to see the person you love hurt in such a manner, and to react in such a way is acceptable to a point...

You were a Naval Officer (Aviator), you commanded the Space Shuttle...You used to be someone I could trust to be able to think through things and come up with some brilliant solutions...

Not anymore...If I was yer brother, I'd be kicking yer can up and down the street for being such a doofus right now...

I attended a wedding in 1968. It was in the middle of the day on Saturday. The father of the bride was a doctor. He had two off duty uniformed police officers in the parking lot of the church for the whole affair. I was a kid so I quietly, asked a question. Why? I was told. They were there to insure that the day went perfectly and there were no surprises. No one was expecting any problems or trouble. They were just insurance.

I always remembered that. What a smart dad.

So you are a U S Member of Congress and you hold a publicized public event in your home district at a small shopping center. You do not call the sheriff to ask for a deputy to be there as insurance. Why not?

Because in the minds of liberals, nothing bad ever happens. And if it does, the police are only a quick phone call away and they will be there to save the day. Transferrence of personal safety from oneself to the state.

Throughout Mark's military career -including NASA- he could not have carried a concealed handgun - so the concept of being personally armed for self defense -at least up until his wife's shooting - was not a viable option.

Active duty personnel are also conditioned to accept strict regulation of firearms on military facilites- so he never really had a chance to exercise the 2A right until he retired. That's why IMO he bought the 1911, and the AR-15 recently.

The military aparently learned nothing from the Ft. Hood mass shooting since state-side bases are essentially GFZ's.

The high command of any military/militia force might well impose certain rules/regulations regarding stand down policy for condition of arms, but that has nothing to do with the 2A protection of the people's right to keep & bear arms not subject to military regulations.

The people as a whole are not active duty military, and therefore not subject to Mark's military model for the 2A.

When I was in the Fleet, one of my CO's was an avid shotgunner...We, on serveral occasions would shoot clays off the fantail with our own, personal shotguns that were kept in the armory while on deployment...We had competitions and everything, plenty of shot shells to wile away some of the off time on some of those long transits...

I think it had to do mostly with the attitude of the boss at the time...We never abused the trust, and the time we all spent doing something like that helped out tremendously with moral and teamwork...

That CO, later became the Superintendent of the Naval Academy in Annapolis...Rodney P. Rempt...I'd go to war with that guy anyday!!!

Reasonable people can understand, and appreciate Mark Kelly's anger over what happened to his wife.

Affording him the prerogative to be mad as H--- at this world that WE ALL have to live in -he does not have the right to endeavor to destroy a very important provision of HIS, Gabby's, and OUR U.S. Constitution.

I hate to consign Mark to the rabid anti-2A file just yet. I'm going to be praying for him and his wife to find some peace in the fact that her life was spared - miraculously I might add.

Hope his intention is to carry that 1911 to make sure it never happens again.

The PAC's filed documents show John Steven Mostyn as its Treasurer. Mostyn is a Houston attorney who has made his fortune suing insurance companies for hurricane damage. He is a trial lawyer who spent $10,036,333 in 2010 backing Democrat candidates and spent "over $4 million" on attack ads against Governor Perry and other conservatives. He is a prolific founder and supporter of political action organizations with deceptive names to make them sound conservative (like Texans for Individual Rights, which promotes laws that benefit trial lawyers).

The PAC administrator is Vickie Winpisinger who is involved in numerous Democrat front groups.

So the Americans for Responsible Solutions PAC is just another Democrat front group dedicated to promoting liberal ideals and stripping Americans of their rights.
