As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

What more can we do to stop Universal Background Check

Post by O.F.Fascist »

So I know my representative is opposed, one of my senators is definitely opposed, and the other very likely opposed. What more can I as an individual do to fight this?

Would my best be to throw some money at the NRA-ILA.

Or would it be to throw some money at some other groups in some specific states to help them lobby? If so who?

They claim an AWB is off the table, but I don't believe them, I want to help stop any and all new gun control laws.

I've taken two different steps and would recommend the same.
1. Send money to the NRA-ILA.
2. Do all you possibly can to convince family, friends and neighbors to join the NRA. The membership is growing but not fast enough to counter the $10M that a Bloomberg campaign is pouring into individual political contests, trying to target pro-gun politicians. More NRA members reach more people and undermine Bloomberg's initiatives.

With gun grabbers, nothing, including confiscation, is every off the table. It is just waiting to be the next focus item for them.
