Poll: Only 1 in 5 would Give up Their Guns

#1

Post by TexasGal »

A poll shows only 1 in 5 gun owners would give up their guns to confiscation. The breakdown of the percentages among conservatives, moderates, and liberals is interesting. Evidence it would prove largely fruitless for the gun grabber's goals:

Nice to see some data backing up what I already suspected.
I am not a lawyer, nor have I played one on TV, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, nor should anything I say be taken as legal advice. If it is important that any information be accurate, do not use me as the only source.

That's for now. But this statement may tell the future, if you ask yourself, "which groups are growing, and which groups are declining."

"Blacks, Hispanics and Asians all would be relatively ready to give up weapons, while among whites, only 14 percent said they would."

Interesting data. I wonder if those same numbers would hold up when push comes to shove. Saying no and actually not giving up firearms are two different things. Hopefully, those polled would follow through as indicated by their answer to the poll....

Sometimes I delude myself and think that liberals might realize that if the 2nd Amendment can be infringed, so can all the others....then I come back to reality and realize there is logic involved with that line of thinking....

Be careful before investing too much into this poll. They surveyed 1103 people. Also its a World Nut Daily poll... It makes me happy as well but stay vigilant...

"Only 1 in 5 would Give up Their Guns"
Not to worry - goosesteppers in the great state of NY have a plan on how to up that figure -

https://www.facebook.com/troyrecord/pos ... 9282524501

"NY State has established a toll-free tip line – 1-855-GUNSNYS (1-855- 486-7697) to encourage residents to report illegal firearm possession. The tip line also allows for information to be submitted via text – individuals can text GUNTIP and their message to CRIMES (274637). The New York State Police staff the tip line 24 hours a day. Upon receiving a call, troopers will solicit as much information as possible regarding a firearm tip then contact the appropriate police agency with the lead to initiate an investigation. If the information leads to an arrest for the illegal possession of a firearm, the “tipster” will be awarded $500."

That is how all dictatorships and failing governments operate. Turn citizens into snitches against those who are innocent of any wrongdoing.

Yes indeed - what's old is new again.
Welcome (back) to the 1930's, v2.0 - though I fear that this go-round will be even worse than the 20th century version.

3 Things: 1 - Teach your kids about firearms; take them shooting; take them hunting; bond with them in the outdoors doing activites involving firearms (like most of our parents did). 2 - Make sure your kids understand that not everybody agrees with your firearm hobby, so don't talk about it to others unless your parents say it's OK. 3 - Get to know your neighbors; be nice to them; become friends with them; figure out where they're heads are at about firearms and the 2nd Amendement and act accordingly. It will take a community to push back the rising tide of over-reaching big government. :patriot: :txflag:

I'm pretty sure that when it comes time to put up or shut up, we'd be lucky to get 1 out of 5 to NOT give up their guns. It's easy to click a button.

History has shown that the more affluent a society gets, the lower the birthrate. It has happened over and over.
Having many children is a survival tactic.
Whites are not going to rebound until they feel a substantial decline in their standard of living. Minorities currently feel this pressure and consequently are reproducing at a record pace.
The only method I can see to combat the loss of conservative voting-power is to appeal to a more diverse set of voters other than White Males that attend Christian churches. (No offense intended).
What this means is that the importance of this particular poll is diluted by the actual effect it has on the overall numbers of gun-owners in the US. It is not good.

Like all polls, the headline on this one is very deceiving. "Only 1 in 5 said they would", but the number you need to look at in what already may be a slanted poll is the number who say they would not; 64%.

I believe this number would be substantially lower push come to shove. Regardless, the 1 in 5 headline is very misleading.
