Sparks flew as a grinder buzzed through the steel of an AK-47 assault rifle Monday morning in Colorado Springs.
You know where this is going, don't you?
Warren, a former infantry soldier, stressed that he is not an activist and did not want to make a political statement.

"That's beyond my pay grade," he said. "I speak for nobody but myself."

The ceremony began with a rap performed by Mary Sprunger-Froese. The long-time friend of Warren warmed the crowd on the snowy morning with such lyrics as "transformation, transform the nation," which had several people in the crowd joining the chant.

The event ended with Warren holding the severed assault rifle high in the air.

"Thank God I'm free of the darn thing," he said.
If he didn't want to make a political statement he would have cut the thing up himself in his backyard with nobody watching. Instead he decides to make it a big public ceremony with TV cameras, reporters and the who shebang.

He obviously thinks we're stupid enough to buy his lie. (Noted elsewhere in the story is that he's not cutting up his expensive "sporting" rifles.)

Nah, nothing at all political about it, right Mr. Warren?

Nothing more than a liberal-progressive political stunt, no matter what the man said.

It sounds to me like he was afraid he might shoot a bunch of children with it. It may be best that he no longer has it. I don’t think he should ever be allowed to have any firearm.

Contrary to what many people think, I believe some people cannot handle the responsibility of having a gun. Mostly liberal/progressives. :reddevil
