How's THAT workin' for ya?“In a way, Obama’s standing above the country, above — above the world. He’s sort of God. He’s going to bring all different sides together.”
The Annoyed Man wrote:The hagiography the lamestream media has provided for Obama is nothing more than stunning in its shamelessness and vulgarity. You can't make this stuff up. When I was a young man, this was the kind of reporting you would see in Pravda or some other commie rag, lionizing Leonid Brezhnev. Even the New York times didn't have it in them to suck up to a president the way the media does now.
The sad part is that there is no way back for them. They have so thoroughly alienated the "paying attention" segment of the population that the trust has been permanently damaged. It will take new publications, operating under new mastheads, to restore the faith of the news consuming public, while the legacy media must die out entirely in order to save journalism. They have abandoned the fourth estate for the fifth column.
When I read stuff like that quote you posted, AndyC, I'm not sure whether to be dumbfounded by it, enraged by it, or sickened by it...but I guess mostly, I'm just incredibly sad that there are such people in our country who could write such things...and that there are plenty of those who fall for it.AndyC wrote:It sounds alarmingly like the Kim Jung Il idolatry - are we going to hear stuff like this next? The Annoyed Man wrote:When I was a young man, this was the kind of reporting you would see in Pravda or some other commie rag, lionizing Leonid Brezhnev. "In 2004, Washington media reported that Obama shot an amazing 11 holes-in-one to achieve an unprecedented 38-under-par game on a regulation 18-hole golf course - on his first try at golf. Reports say each of his 17 bodyguards verified the record-breaking feat."
No wonder the first syllable of the word sycophant sounds like "sick".
Thank you for the parallel. The NKM (North Korean Media) is the perfect acronym for the leftist toadies in today's American media. They make me sick.AndyC wrote:It sounds alarmingly like the Kim Jung Il idolatry - are we going to hear stuff like this next? The Annoyed Man wrote:When I was a young man, this was the kind of reporting you would see in Pravda or some other commie rag, lionizing Leonid Brezhnev.
