BOYCOTT GROUPON

Groupon has waded into the political area and has canceled all gun related deals until further notice. Two Instructors here in Texas had working deals jerked away by Groupon. I fail to see how interfering with training in the safe use of firearms is a threat to safety.
Boycott!

Don't just boycott them. Contact them (early and often
) and let them know WHY you are boycotting them.

They suck anyhow. I know an instructor that got locked into a 2 year deal with them (according to him) CHL class Groupon $57.50...they get close to half of that! So he gets $28-29 THEN PAYS RANGE FEES. He thinks it is growing his business. I'm booked solid at $100-$125. They contacted me, and I told them to take a leap.

Due to your recent actions against law abiding businesses serving the public exercising their second amendment right, I will no longer do business with your company. Until you issue a statement of apology to the public and to the businesses you are alienating, I will make sure friends and family know your lack of respect for the constitution of this great country you care nothing about. Please delete my account and remove me from any future distribution lists.

It has come to my attention that Groupon has cowered to gun control and political pressure.
Please answer this question: How does allowing people access to firearms training and safety promote violence by criminals and mentally ill sociopaths?
I will no longer do business with you until you change your mind, and will publicly share your stance on gun control via social media. I sincerely hope you reconsider.

Here is the Fox News link btw -

In a statement emailed to FOX 4 the company said, "All scheduled and current gun-related deals featured on Groupon North America, including shooting ranges, concealed-and-carry and clay shooting, have been placed on hiatus while we review internal standards that shape the deal inventory we feature. The category is under review following recent consumer and merchant feedback."

Sent to groupon:
Just last week we were discussing some of the apparantly good deals that were available on groupon, and then we saw this: "All scheduled and current gun-related deals featured on Groupon North America, including shooting ranges, concealed-and-carry and clay shooting, have been placed on hiatus while we review internal standards that shape the deal inventory we feature. The category is under review following recent consumer and merchant feedback."
Sorry, that means we will have to place any funds originally earmarked for spending on groupon on hiatus and make them available to purchase guns and ammunition elsewhere until groupon reviews its internal standards and decides to actually support the Second Amendment in ALL of its aspects.
In other words "No guns = No money" bye bye groupon.

Your stance on firearm related safety training has brought forward a grassroots effort to contact every company that advertises and does business with your organization. We will on a national level contact every one of them and ask them to stop utilizing your services and splitting their profits with a company who does not believe that people have a right to be properly trained on the use of firearms . Since your organization decided to enter this political battle on your own free will it is our responsibility to inform the companys that do business with you that we will not support them going forward and notify every legal firearm owner of your corporate stance against the 2nd Amendment.

When did this occur? My daughter signed up for a class on Groupon a couple of days ago for her boy friend.
