I guess maybe Democrats are not on fb?

No...it's just that not all Dems are anti-gun. I truly believe gun owners are a silent majority...mr.72 wrote:I guess maybe Democrats are not on fb?

There's another poll today about Obama's election..."Did you vote for him, and do you still stand by your vote". There's more of the far left taking part in that poll, but the leader at 62% is "I did not vote for Obama and I stand by that vote". http://apps.facebook.com/realpolls/resu ... cv?_fb_q=1

In the last 10 years, with teh advent of the internet, The Truth about guns and gun ownership has gotten to far more people than you realize.
While our political leadership has yet to get the memo, the masses have changed their position on the issue, and our numbers grow and grow every day.

I hope that you're right. Surely to goodness, these people in Washington, and elsewhere, realize that the current "ammo shortage" is caused by and funded by real American voters.nitrogen wrote:In the last 10 years, with teh advent of the internet, The Truth about guns and gun ownership has gotten to far more people than you realize.

Bullocks.. It's all being smuggled over the border into Mexico to fuel their Automatic weapons, of which 89% came from the United States, of course!Oldgringo wrote: I hope that you're right. Don't underestimate how much politicians will ignore the truth when it's inconvenient to their cause.

IANAL, YMMV, ITEOTWAWKI and all that.

I have to laugh any time an 'anti' starts railing about the power of the NRA,
and how Washington politicians "cave in to NRA pressure".
The anti's seem to think that the NRA just exists in its Virginia office as some kind of
lobbying group. This is true, but the reason that Senators and Congresspeople
listen to the NRA is because its members number in the millions and CARE about
our 2A rights. Gun owners are a force to be reckoned with, even if 'anti's' can't
understand us.
I am the NRA. Those of you on the forum who may not be members, please sign up
to protect our rights.
For about the price of one handgun magazine, you can be a more active part of main-
taining our 2A rights, and making sure that Obama & Co. don't mess with us.

I'm the NRA!
You can go to their site and sign up for free!
It's the only way we can win battles. Yea, I know, they will hound you for donations but they really do need the cash. While I don't just sign a check and give it to them, I do spend a couple of extra dollars to buy from their website to help support them. They have some neat stuff.
I buy often and I understand it's a little more for that Tshirt than at Wal Mart but I don't see any nice "Gun Shirts" in the stores.

Those fb applications will grab all your attached friends and start hounding them. I see how they take on a life of their own, so I've never signed up for one.

So, according to the idiot that started the poll, if your handgun is capable of holding 15+ rounds, it's an assault weapon.Do you support an assault weapons ban (i e normal capacity (15 rounds) pistols or semi automatic rifles)?

2,710 (11.0%)
No
20,159 (81.8%)
Only on "assault rifles" and the like
1,222 (5.0%)
No guns for anyone
554 (2.2%)
