Gun Supply Company Anti 2nd Ammendment?

This is related to the CVS thread but I didn't want to hijack it.
I came across this product from RAC Holding Company a while back and was all set to pull out the plastic when I saw the infamous "Kids & Guns" link. Thinking I might find a source of Intelligence I clicked.
I was sorely dissapointed to see that it listed all the top gun haters and the second link was the Brady Bunch. All of them had the conclusion that the safest way to store a gun is to not have one.
I emailed RAC through the link and had a short and very cordial email debate with a Mr. Gary Hopkins. We agreed to disagree.
They sell what looks like a great device for those of us like myself who cannot afford or don't want a safe.

If someone knows of a similar device please let me know because I won't be purchasing the RAC devices.

What do you expect from a company that makes trigger locks?

I see their product as more of a way to secure a firearm much the same way as a safe would. The trigger isn't locked except that the entire firearm is locked to a wall.
I think it's a pretty cool idea but I don't need a bunch of yahoos telling me the only way my kids can be safe around firearms is to get rid of them.

I hit the contact us and told them that their kids and guns link was would cost them business and that they might want to consider completely redoing their web page as it was insulting to target audience. We'll see if they bother respond to my critique.

I got my response from RAC Holding.
My email:
just finished viewing you web page concerning child gun safety. I'm sure your intent was to make people more aware of gun safety however; several of your listings for resources are anti gun and will turn off potential buyers that are like myself responsible gun owners. You would do better to hyperlink to the NRA instead of the Brady Campaign and the American Academy of Pediatrics for gun safety advise. As you well know more children die from medical malpractice that from gun violence. The picture of the child pointing the flintlock pistol was insulting at best. Whoever designed your kids and guns page completely lacks any understanding of your target customer and has undoubtedly cost you business.
their response:
Thank you for your comments on our website. However, last I checked; the NRA was not an advocate of locking guns at all !! Their idea of gun safety and children is to teach them how to live around them responsibly. That's reasonably acceptable to the gun owning family and their immediate household members. Unfortunately, we do not always know who enters our home. It's the unexpected child or intruder that the "RAC" is intended to address.

OMG, They are even anti NRA. When did the NRA stop advocating the locking up of guns? Words fail me in describing these people.

Heaven forbid that an "intruder" might find my loaded gun and accidentally shoot himself! I'm thinking these guys are not giving due consideration for the logic of their position........ Yes......they are idiots!

You have to admire his tenacity.
But to keep it on topic it seems the company closed its website down.
