Re: Gun Owners To Carry Insursnce and Pay A Fee
I'm betting the compliance rate mimics that of ar registrations and "hi-cap" mag turn ins, from other states.
Oh, and I'm relieved that criminals don't need to pay the fee or have insurance.

So they want to tax a Constitutional right, which will get overturned by the courts. But curious what insurance companies have such coverage available?
Stephen Gutowski had a great quick reaction on a twitter thread on it last night. If you can't read the whole thread, here's his quote comparing this to First Amendment restrictions:
It's akin to requiring anybody writing an op-ed or letter to the editor to obtain libel insurance as a way of combating "misinformation" or what have you.

I'll buy insurance to carry a gun when Brian Stelter and Chris Cuomo and Rachel Maddow and the NY Times are required to buy insurance to publish their opinions.
I believe this qualifies as "Infringed".
Come and Take it.

Good question, since "regular people" won't comply, and criminals won't bother, the real effect/consequence will probably be a LEO Law Enforcement Officer Expense/Tax...because, the LEOs all have guns right?
i like the require them to get 1st Amendment insurance ideas above.
