Question about 18-20 year olds
Quick question…. How does unlicensed carry treat 18-20 year olds who are on active military duty? As I recall, they were eligible to obtain an LTC. But with the removal of the LTC mandate, do military 18-20 year olds still have to get an LTC to carry in Texas?

Law Shield says that you have to be 21 to carry a handgun under the Firearm Carry Act of 2021
But, outside of Texas, if you're in the 4th Circuit the age rules just changed:
APPEALS COURT: You Don’t Have to Be 21 to buy a handgun

I didn't read where this decision also covered carry, just purchase.Paladin wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 11:03 am Law Shield says that you have to be 21 to carry a handgun under the Firearm Carry Act of 2021

The decision was on purchase, but as I understand it, the rational is equally applicable to all constitutional rights (i.e. bearing arms)oohrah wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 1:01 pmI didn't read where this decision also covered carry, just purchase.Paladin wrote: ↑Wed Jul 14, 2021 11:03 am Law Shield says that you have to be 21 to carry a handgun under the Firearm Carry Act of 2021
