What does that portend? I dunno'. :headscratch I suspect a nationwide voter turnout of biblical proportions is taking place. Everybody has a dog in this hunt. Oh well, this time tomorrow, we'll know how many bullets to buy.

On Twitter "PLEASE EVERYONE, however the election turns out tonight, remain calm and peaceful ... my AK-47 doesn't ship until next Monday "

I got 500 more rounds of 7.62 last week, the UPS guy informs me that MidwayUsa is shipping a lot lately

On paper...not only did I mark the straight party box because that is the way I feel about this, but I also marked the box to indicate my choice for President/Vice President, just so there wouldn't be any guesswork. I also voted NO for a ballot to raise a tax-supported bond for the school system...seems like the school has an awful lot of administrators...if they need more teachers, they need to take a hard look at how many non-teachers they have on the payroll FIRST before asking for more money.
Wasn't there some discussion in another thread (the SJL thread, I believe) indicting that ballots on which both "straight ticket" and individual races would be considered invalid?
Nope, not to the best of my knowledge. In fact, I carefully read the information at the top of the ballot. Individual races will be counted even if a straight party box is marked. You may be able to see a sample ballot if you go online to the state website and put your info in...you can read at the top left of the ballot and see what I mean.

Congratulations! My experience is similar (but different). After many years of waiting, my beautiful wife got her US citizenship in 2010, and cast her first-ever US presidential ballot about a week ago during early voting.

In first early voting county in Tarrant County, it's 50.03% Mark Shelton, 49.97% Wendy Davis. Separated by 111 votes out of 180,000. Yes

bye bye Wendyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy (still praying, she and zaffrini are history)

Other races
Donna Campbell doing realll well as is Roger Williams
Ted Cruz takes lead in Senate race
and KXAN says Obama wins Electoral votes 64 to Romney's 40... but that's an Austin TV station that's so blue you have to adjust the color ,,,
