Chas.
I'm also a big fan of the 1st and 4th amendments, and don't think we need more laws to protect people from themselves.
You know Charles...This is actually pretty good...[snicker]...

...life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness...

Life...check, this is the easy one, till Obamacare really kicks in...

Liberty...under attack, both overtly and covertly, 20,000 gun laws??? EPA??? TSA??? etc etc etc...

Happiness...I think we would all be more happy if we didn't have government all up in our lives and liberties to begin with (or as much as they have been)...Civil society has gotten along (fairly well) in the past, with some very basic rules/laws that didn't interfere with these basic fundamentals...

Just my opinion...

BTW, I do not have many differences in opinion with Senator Cornyn...I do not go out of my way looking (for negatives) either...He was far better than the former Senior Senator from Texas, and now that he and Cruz are teaming up, I believe he now has some wiggle room to be a bit more vocal/visible on some of these important issues now that Cruz is on the team...Cruz has what is known as a "backbone"...Something seriously lacking in D.C. these days...And that backbone does have spin off value in that it gives others (not Cornyn, he has his own motivators, and thats just fine by me...) strength as well...

We are now in an all hands on deck situation, and the political opposition is not just attacking our Second Amendment right, they have a broad front on conservatism, and since the republican leadership and the elites are pushing more and more of conservatism out of the party, and drifting towards moderate positions, its good to have these two guys in there holding the line...

I'll stay with Cornyn/Cruz to continue to be a substantial political force to be a partner with, in our future...
