Does the Colorado government have something against iPhones? Or is it just the iPhone cases they hate? :biggrinjester:

On the scheme of things, it took almost no time flat for Colorado to turn solid blue.

I suspect it is all the Californians who have moved there in the last twenty years.

So how would any of these bills have stopped Aurora? He passed background checks. He wasn't on campus. If he had 15 round magazines he would have killed more people cause his drum magazine jammed.

How about preventing gun free zones to CHL's. That would have made a difference.

I fired off a feedback on the Texas Governors page to see if he might consider courting Magpul to come to Texas if this becomes law. I figured Perry might be interested since he didn't have much recent luck with getting any companies from California to move. A gun friendly company who is actively looking to relocate 600 jobs and $85 million in business would be a huge win for our state.
Why do you say that? I highly doubt any company is going to be able to just pack up and move in a few days. Doesn't mean that there aren't any companies going to move in the near future once they've crunched the numbers, run it by the shareholders, scouted locations, done up a plan for a move, etc.
It took over a year of planning to get my former company moved to Texas from California, and that was AFTER we had arrived at the decision to move. It's a lot harder than you think, particularly if there is heavy production equipement involved. You need to arrange rigging crews to take down the equipment and put it on 60' flatbeds. You have to pack up everything else. You have to arrange to outsource your production until you can get your own equipment set up. Then you have to have a rigging crew hired at the other end to offload the equipment and place it on the production floor where it is going to go. You have to bring in electrical contractors to bring 240 volt lines to those machines, etc., etc., etc., and on and on and on. It is a HUGE effort, and it takes weeks to get your production back online once you shut down your production in the old plant.

Patience, Grasshopper.
Just so we are on the same page, I was trying to say the same thing to ShepherdTX...I'm just not as eloquent. :tiphat:
Wow, the last thing I expected was for anyone to focus in on an offhand comment about what the governor did in my state of origin. I will acknowledge that I was thinking in the present instead of the larger picture and yes, it's likely his visit could bear fruit in the long term. Anyways that being said, my whole intent was to point out that Magpul is actually ready to move quite soon and I would love to do whatever small thing I could to get them to come to Texas. I just thought that having the Governor take an interest in bringing them here would be good because he would be more likely to get their attention. But me, I am simply another, "Hey come to Texas" post on their Facebook page.

I told them that it would be a shame to lose such a good manufacturer. I said that they should contact Governor Perry, and he could probably get some kind of a tax-break deal worked out for them if they relocated. Hey, maybe if enough people contact them, who knows what could happen? We can keep our fingers crossed, anyway.

Heck, I'd drive up just to help them pack. :txflag:
