I noticed our 4th best president yesterday announced in front of the UAW audience that he was going to offer $10,000 instant federal tax credits for anyone buying Chevy Volts. By "instant", I mean you get the $10 grand right away -- you don't need to wait until you file your taxes.

They average income of a Chevy Volt buyer is $170,000 a year. These are high income families buying it as a second or third car as a "greenie" status symbol.

So we are piling up trillions in debt every year that our children and grandchildren will have to repay. Their futures are so over-mortgaged they will never have the same opportunities that used to be taken for granted in this country. Why should my children be in debt to pay for 3rd cars for "rich people"?

He's trying to destroy America economically. You only have to look at his policies and proposals to see it's true.
Tyranny is identified by what is legal for government employees but illegal for the citizenry.

I'm calling it the Chevy "Dolt"...because you'd have to be one...to buy one. A lot of folks realize that (fortunately) and that is why sales suck and that production has been halted.

America (until we recover) can NOT afford to invest in "green energy" ventures. While it might be a desirable thing to do...NOW is not the time. This president doesn't seem to understand that ...but instead insists on pushing ideological agendas.

We have tons of fossil fuels that need to be utilized. Yes, it can be argued that fuel prices are partially driven by supply and demand. Obama's "solution" is to try and reduce the "demand". Why would you do that when you have plenty of the product ready to tap into.

Less demand WOULD drive prices down (temporarily). When prices go down, usage goes UP and eventually you are right back where you started UNLESS you create so much "supply" that it remains stable for many years. Don't think that is possible?

Just look at Natural Gas. Exploration and production of NG is scaled WAY back because we now have so much of it...that you won't see NG above $3.00 again for a very long time. Same thing could be done with Gas/Diesel, the crude is there, we just need to go and get it.

Refining the product is the only stumbling block I see. Lets invest in some new refineries and put folks to work...sheeeeeesh!
