As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Got any neighbors you don't like?
Just use THEIR name and address.

I am JOKING, of course. Although, I do admit to considering the idea more than once.

I haven't because of your name, address, etc. having to be included which every nut job in town can then get (only your name is on the article). Then follows potential harassment and such. You know if you write a pro gun letter, MDA and others will come crawling out of the woodwork. So, how would you handle this conundrum?

I have written several letters to editors of newspapers, sometimes regarding 2A issues, and my viewpoints on gun ownership, LTC, and several other pro gun stances. As far as anti gun groups harassing me, it has never happened, but I live in a very rural area, with two large dogs, Mrs. Jusme, who doesn't like unannounced guests. (she also knows how to operate a pistol, shotgun, and rifle) little Jusme (6'-1 ft 210 lbs also proficient with firearms) and an ankle biting toy fox terrier who has an inflated ego from chasing a UPS man back out of the gate. So I've never really worried about it too much.

I've written a few letters to the editor which were published regarding various topics, but mostly 2A. I probably get about one printed per year. So far I have never received any negative comments, and I'm talking about the Austin paper (the Lost in America Spaceman). They've always asked if I want my email address published. I have always said "no", and they've only printed my name. It has caused zero problems to date.
