Just think how the country would be if we closed the public schools, and the IRS, in favor of private schools and The Fair Tax!

Absolutely. I've had my kids in private school from the get-go. While a HUGE financial responsibility, my kids pray in school every day, attend chapel at least once a week,
and learn in a rather "normal" environment without the left wing nutjobs.

I absolutely support the idea of Public Schools.

I absolutely abhor the actions of the few crazy-educators that pop-up in our news stories and the idiotic school-boards and parents that elect them.

But all in all I want my children to grow up interacting with people from all walks of society and learning from not only the classroom but the kids around them.

My youngest son goes to one of the largest High Schools in Texas...it is jam-packed with kids of every ethnicity. It is also jam-packed with liberal-elitist educators, right along with objective teachers that have finally figured out how to engage my son and finally make him shine and don't try to jam their own agendas down his throat.

I do not want my kid(s) in a sheltered environment where everyone thinks exactly alike and tolerance of those who are not like you is limited.

Maybe this one?

Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.

THAT's the one. Thanks. I couldn't remember if it was Marx or Lenin.

About 7 or 8 years ago I served on a committed at my daughters high school and was shocked back then at the control the fed's had over the public school system. Most of ot came about with the no child left behind bill. I never saw the benefit in the program back when Bush pushed it through, and even I could see how the program could be abused. Now that the Obama administration has control the abuse has been steadily gaining every year.

The school systems that are not located in a liberal state, county, or city, and do not support this sort of socialism in their districts can and will be beaten into submission by the fed's withholding of funds.

This is nothing short of brainwashing our children, in my opinion abusing our kid's, and using tax payers dollars to do it.

Sombody tell me again. What was it that caused Nixon to resign before being impeached.

A sense of shame?
