Connecticut will more than likely pass thmost or all of these since Newtown was in their state. The legislators who would normally be on the fence will be the ones who cause the bills to slide to the anti side so they can say they 'did something' to control gun violence. :mad5

The NSSF should move out. They probably aren't much appreciated in Newtown, anyway.

After the massacre of Dr. Petit's family in CT in 2007, gun stores there were cleaned out.

I expect after the next similar crime, the legislators will be falling all over themselves to rescind the new law.

And it's interesting how their legislature overturned the death penalty for everyone but those two creatures. As if there won't be a new set of murdering scumbags that need fryin' at some point?

Born and raised in Ct I could not get out of there fast enough! It's a shame really, it's a beautiful state.

Conn. legislative leaders wrote:- A ban on new hi-capacity magazines
- A registration requirement for existing magazines that hold 10 or more rounds
- A statewide dangerous weapon offender registry
- Ammunition eligibility certificates
- Universal background checks for all firearms sales
- Extension of the state AWB to include more firearms with registration of those already possessed / outlawed
So here is what I don't get (or I guess the legislators don't get)...if I can be trusted to shoot even one bullet, why wouldn't I be trusted to shoot 1,000,000 bullets? What about 1,000,000 bullets shot one bullet at a time? So why does it matter if my magazine can hold 1 bullet or 1,000,000 bullets?

In the wrong hands, even one round is too many. It's about the person, not the equipment.

I agree, I will never live in that state! I guess they can feel safer now knowing that the criminals are obeying the new laws! :banghead:

I grew up in upstate NY right next to CT. Beautiful area. In 1985, while in the service, I met a lovely lady from Texas and never moved back to NY. Thank God for that lady! Mrs Fish! :txflag:
