Also remember Coulter pushed Romney this time around and is a big Christie fan. Frankly I don't trust her judgement anymore if I ever did. She is very entertaining though.

Re: Federal AWB Loses Steam
The republican party is already dead. It just doesn't know it yet.......immigration policies or not. It has abandoned fiscal rectitude, the party's former banner issue. It really doesn't matter whether or not the republican party's approach to immigration is correct or not, because democrat liars (but I repeat myself) in the major media (but I repeat myself yet again)—the party's propaganda arm—are going to continue to drive home the message that republicanism is A) xenophobia, B) privileged white racism, C) economic classism, D) militaristic jingoism, and on and on and on. AND, it will be successful, because democrat liars (but I repeat myself) ALSO control the public (and a large part of the private) educational system, and their entire educational focus is the production of yet more low-information democrat liars (but I repeat myself) on the voting rolls.stroo wrote:Ann Coulter isn't looking at history. CRepublicans in California really slid off when Republicans took the very anti-immigration approach she now pushes and lost. George Bush took a different approach in Texas and Republicans now control statewide offices. On immigration, Coulter's prescriptions are prescriptions for killing the Republican party.
Democrat liars (but I repeat myself) have only ONE core value, and that is power. They will violate any moral or ethical principle, and trample any constitutional right or founding principle in the pursuit of that one value. IF they are allowed that power without fetter, soviet style socialism will be their end game. When they say that is not so, just remember that they also said that Obama wasn't trying to take your guns too......and that turned out to be just one more lie on the dungheap of their lies. They are the scientologists of the political world. You want to know what happens when "social democrats" have unfettered power? I submit the following real-time examples:
- Grecian fiscal fecklessness in funding insupportable pensions as Exhibit A;
- Cyprian government looting of all accounts of 10% of depositor account value in Cyprian banks as Exhibit B;
- (formerly) Great Britain's draconian gun laws and rampant crime as Exhibit C;
- modern Russia's oligarchical corruption as Exhibit D;
- France's and Spain's irreversible decline in native born birthrates and burgeoning population approaching retirement age, supported by increasing populations of imported labor, mostly from the middle east and southeast asia (people who by tradition have high birth rates and who scorn laziness and will not want to support this aging population of white europeans for much longer, whom they will soon outnumber) as Exhibit E;
- and on and on and on.......
Diane Feinstein had the gall to lectured Ted Cruz the other day about her being a student of the Constitution for 25 years. That's meaningless as well as laughable. Demons study God to learn how to mislead and pervert the minds of His children. Sun Tzu studied his enemies and was an expert on them. It doesn't matter if she knows the Constitution forwards and backwards if the result is that she uses that knowledge to try and find ways to negate it or work around it. It's not the knowledge alone that counts—what you do with that knowledge counts just as much as how well you know it. In that case, the only difference between her and a low-information voter is just plain evil intent. She is driven by it, whereas the low-information voter is just stupid and incurious about his or her world......and thus they are a natural fit for the party of democrat liars (but I repeat myself).

Re: Federal AWB Loses Steam
I would be the last to dissagree with you on the power (political) issue...I believe the next mid term election will be more like 2010, in some ways...The democrats need to gain 17 seats to take over the house, and there are indications that is almost an unrealistic expectation, but then again anything might happen...Something will have to upset the applecart (politically) to effect a rejection of the majority the republicans have in the US House of Representatives...chasfm11 wrote:While I agree with you to a point, politics is a game of power. I'm sure that Senator Reid and others would like nothing better than to break the power of the NRA. There are different political realities in 2013 than there were in 1994. If the Dems gain seats in the Senate and take back the House in 2014, there is no question in my mind but that some sort of gun control will be the first thing on the next Legislative session.stevie_d_64 wrote:Some of the old guard that survived the election in 1994, remember the price they paid with the last AWB...
That is a HUGE reminder, that is playing real hard on all of these knuckleheads...
Some will hopefully understand the legislating without virtue, and against unalienable rights is a losing proposition, anyway you look at it...
All that this has done is to have potentially delayed the inevitable unless the low information voter problem is corrected, at least somewhat.
The US Senate on the other hand, we are 6 seats short of taking that body back...
I believe the house and Senate will remain in the same hands...There will be a little creep towards a change, but the margins will shrink in both houses, but not enough for a change of party majorities in either...
2010 was not kind to the liberals, and the conservatives dumped a few Rino's along the way, and we still held the House...I believe there will be another purge, but not in too significant numbers to give both bodies over to the other party...
2nd term administrations in their midterm election cycle have historically lost ground on the legislative side, but in this case, I believe we are not going to make significant gains on either side of the aisle...
But we shall see...
Just look at it this way...If they decided to amend the Constitution, and get rid of the Second Amendment...What do you think you are going to do about it, for matter, any of us??? I'll bet you a Buffalo nickle that we'll hang onto our guns dispite their efforts to take them away...Have some courage, have a little faith, it's not going to be an easy road to hoe, but we will prevail...The burn is on those that want to remove this unalienable right...
I like our odds...

That is her role in this. She isn't going to hold office, but can entertain, inform, enthuse voters. I wish Al Franken had realized this.stroo wrote:Also remember Coulter pushed Romney this time around and is a big Christie fan. Frankly I don't trust her judgement anymore if I ever did. We tend to measure people by how they might stack up as President. Almost none of them will be. Most will do best in some other role. Being President isn't for everyone, even some of the ones who are sworn in.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

J Allen: I don't disagree with you at all about the Republican party. I have come to the conclusion that the elite in our country are nuts. The Democrats are pushing craziness and the Republicans are going along for the ride.
On Coulter, my only point was not to trust her judgement. Great entertainment though which as you point out is her real role in life.

Yes, it was. The FOPA was a very good bill that took a lot of work to get pushed through...and that poor excuse for a Congressman name Hughes put his amendment in at the last minute to try and kill the bill. As irritating as that was, I'm glad they pushed the bill to law anyway because it really made the grabbers mad. You can read the full story of the FOPA at this website: http://www.nraila.org/news-issues/artic ... PA&st=&ps=Beiruty wrote:G26ster wrote:Official.
