I hate seeing Texas turn into a total melting pot, and fear we're turning into a purple state at an accelerated rate.

We fled here about 7 years ago from Mass., threw in the towel and voted with our feet. Im sure the concern for native Texans is very valid with the numbers of libs abandoning their pillaged and plundered states for a new place is valid, heck, I worry myself and wonder if Idaho isn't our next stop? But I have met many "import" Texans, particularly from California, since my coming here, and find the opposite to be true. I find my own views very conservative and borderline "conspiracy based" after being slowly choked by the socialist regime up there. That is why we picked Texas as the place to call home. Many of the homegrown folks, ESPECIALLY the younger families that we know through the public school system, are in awe when we object to some of the "progressive" ideas that are continually creeping into our children's curriculum. So try not hate us all... some of our war wounds can be helpful.
