Anyone work a NAGR table at a gunshow?

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Anyone work a NAGR table at a gunshow?

#1

Post by mloamiller »

I received a "special invitation" to work the NAGR table at an upcoming gunshow. Has anyone ever done this, and if so, what was your experience? It includes free admission to the show, so I figure giving a few hours to save some bucks for a show I was planning to attend anyway might be worth it.

Is the National Association of Gun Rights an organization that you belong to, and by virtue of your working for them at the gun show, something you're willing to help induce other people to belong to?

If so, rock on! If not, why would you consider representing them?

I'm not knocking them or endorsing them - I don't really know that much about 'em, but just wondering how much YOU know about 'em.

Me? Nope. As I explained, I don't know that much about 'em.

I'll knock them. NAGR sucks. They are run by a guy of tainted morals, who has spent member funds on himself, and who has made a career out of attacking the NRA. With "friends" like that, gun owners don't need any enemies.

If you want to know what Charles L. Cotton, who is a REAL bonifide champion of gun rights, thinks about NAGR, CLICK HERE.

Quoting Charles L. Cotton HERE:
Charles L. Cotton wrote:More importantly, any person or organization that "joins with" or supports NAGR must not have done the least bit of research about Dudley Brown or NAGR. Here is a link to a post by the Second Amendment Foundation. Read about some of NAGR's escapades. Be sure to read the letter from Students for Concealed Carry President Daniel Crocker to Dudley Brown in response to NAGR's attempt to claim credit for a legal victory to which NAGR was not a party.

The Minnesota Gun Owners Civil Rights Alliance responded on its Facebook page to a bogus NAGR/Dudley Brown solicitation email that claimed the gun rights group was supporting gun control. "There is an inflammatory email being sent to Minnesotans by an out-of-state individual who has never actually accomplished anything for Minnesota gun rights (or those of any other state that we can see). The real purpose of this email is the same as all the rest of the emails this individual sends: to solicit donations."

This Dudley Brown/NAGR that has been condemned by long-standing gun rights organizations is the same Dudley Brown/NAGR that OCT proudly claims as an ally. I am reminded of the old adage that "one who lays down with dogs gets up with fleas." The true nature of OCT is becoming clear.
You couldn't pay me enough to say something nice about NAGR or Dudley Brown..... so I'll stop talking.

Below is a copy of a post I made in another thread. I understand that you don't know anything about NAGR or Dudley Brown, but I hope this gives you an idea what they truly are and how they deceive people solely to solicit money. Obviously, you can do as you wish, but don't do anything to promote NAGR or Dudley Brown here on the Forum. Among the people and organizations that have sold out to NAGR/Brown for money or other support include, OCT, CJ Grisham, Rep. Stickland, Sen. Huffines and Rand Paul. That speaks volumes about character.

Thanks for the quick and exhaustive responses. That definitely answered my question, and causes me to look at NAGR very differently.
