The gun debate is serious enough that it should not be poisoned by exaggerated claims and faux statistics. The president earns Three Pinocchios.

Interesting post telling us what most gun owners already know, and have known for years. But to have the W.P. run that kind of article was truely refreshing.
Now if the New York Times ran that article, THAT would be really refreshing....but that ain't gonna happen.

I think a relatively few people in the anti camp realize they are getting schooled on a regular basis because they don't really know or understand the subject. Perhaps they have come to understand that most pro-2A types are not going to just swallow the anti rhetoric hook, line, and sinker. Every time the antis start one of these wacky campaigns, all it does is stiffen resolve on the 2A side. That article, IMHO, is not meant for us at all; its meant for the antis who keep botching the job, so to speak.

It would be interesting to see a survey of the town hall participants, whether they bought that obvious bull from, ugh, our President.

We refer to that as lying.
