Is this a serious question? Because it's right in the article.mojo84 wrote:I'm having trouble seeing where Cornyn donated $50,000 in the links to support the article.![]()

It's a dead serious question. The links to the backup data didn't support what the article said, at least what I saw. Are you taking the article at face value just because it's supposed to be a conservative media outlet?baldeagle wrote:Is this a serious question? Cornyn gave $50,000 to Mississippi Conservatives which gave $144,000+ to All Citizens of Mississippi which used race-baiting ads to drive voters to the polls to vote for Thad Cochran. It hasn't yet been confirmed, but they also may have paid for TV ads that promoted Cochran's long record of bringing home the bacon. It has been confirmed that they paid for very offensive race-baiting robocalls that claimed that if McDaniel was elected he would take away food stamps and defund historically black colleges in Mississippi.

Are you one to believe everything just because it's on the internet? Did you even look at the links? I may have overlooked something and that's why I asked the question.
I reread the article and it did not day Cornyn gave $50,000 as the second poster in this thread asserts.

Mississippi Conservatives, in turn, was funded in part by Sally Bradshaw of the RNC’s Growth and Opportunity Project, former RNC Chairman and Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, the United States Chamber of Commerce, and the political action committees created for Senators Mitch McConnell ($50,000), John Cornyn ($50,000), Rob Portman ($25,000), Bob Corker ($25,000), and Roy Blunt ($5,000).
I'm not a big Cornyn fan either but I do not think we should promote misinformation.the political action committees created for Senators Mitch McConnell ($50,000), John Cornyn ($50,000),
I am sure it was Cornyn's PAC that donated the money in his name. Cornyn is a RINO and always has been. This doesn't surprise me in the least since he basically disowned Ted Cruz when Cruz was putting up the good fight.mojo84 wrote:Right2Carry wrote:You didn't look very hard.mojo84 wrote:baldeagle wrote:Is this a serious question? The money was donated by a political action committee, NOT Cornyn. Can you or baldeagle show me where the political action committee equals Cornyn?

Actually it looks like you can't prove it didn't come from Cornyn or his PAC. The article stands on its own until you can prove otherwise.mojo84 wrote:So you are OK with your disdain clouding your judgment? I don't think you can prove it was Cornyn or "Cornyn's PAC" because if you could, you would have.
Hopefully others don't just assume what they read on the interwebs as being true.
Correct. Look who runs the superpac.SC1903A3 wrote:Texan's for a Conservative Majority which gave the $50,000 is a Super PAC that supports John Cornyn. He may very well not be involved but, the association with him does no good.
So you beat your wife until you can prove otherwise? That's an absurd statement. Does he also have to prove that the moon landings were real because I saw an article on the internet the other day that swore they were fake.Right2Carry wrote:Actually it looks like you can't prove it didn't come from Cornyn or his PAC. No. I've been following the MS Senate race closely and have read all of the FEC documents that have been released as well as numerous articles from local MS papers that are clearly not pro-Tea Party. I have also been following the race on Twitter and have corresponded with Charles Johnson, the reporter who broke the story, and have contributed to one of his articles (unrelated to the issue of whether Cornyn gave money.)mojo84 wrote:It's a dead serious question. Well, I suggest you read the third paragraph again.mojo84 wrote:I reread the article and it did not day Cornyn gave $50,000 as the second poster in this thread asserts.
Cornyn gave the money, and he's also supporting Pat Roberts (KS) against his Tea Party opponent. I'm very disappointed in Cornyn. He seems to have been infected with DC disease.Mississippi Conservatives, in turn, was funded in part by Sally Bradshaw of the RNC’s Growth and Opportunity Project, former RNC Chairman and Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour, the United States Chamber of Commerce, and the political action committees created for Senators Mitch McConnell ($50,000), John Cornyn ($50,000), Rob Portman ($25,000), Bob Corker ($25,000), and Roy Blunt ($5,000).
