Sorry you must bear the burden of your 30.06

Post by Jim Beaux »

Ive been having an issue with my broadband modem/router and called TWC tech service. The rep was very helpful and told me to bring the old unit in and they would exchange it. I politely but firmly replied, "Nope, no can do. Yall have a 30.06 notice and I will not patronize anyone who discriminates against me." I suggested that they instead send a technician out. :evil2:

The rep then asked if it would be ok if they shipped it via USPS. I said of course if yall pay the shipping! It will cost them $22.00! :tiphat: Yeah I know, chump change but hey, what have you guys done lately to advance our civil rights?? :thewave

I don't know what choices you or Jim Beaux have for providers but I am limited to Comcast cable unless I want snail speed ATT. I have been to the Comcast office many times, but have seen no 30.06 there. Out of 5 service calls scheduled I only got one show-up. They have a monopoly and their customer reflects that. I still take my hat off to you Jim Beaux. :tiphat:

Would it make sense if someone said they don't patronize Amazon because they only order if they get free shipping? :headscratch

Welcome to the board Polly. No, I didnt cancel my service. I have been a subscriber for 10 years and cant find a lot of justification in dropping them. I just recently switched my phone over to them as well and really like the service.

Puma - TWC appreciates its subscribers and the steps it takes to keep us happy, especially in this day and age is remarkable. In the 10 years Ive been with TWC I have always received top drawer treatment. I called them today at around 1PM & by 5PM received an email advising that I can expect the new modem in 1 - 2 days.

I will keep yall updated.

You are so right. I have been meaning to do that. Thanks for reminding me.

Once I see that the problem is with the modem I will buy one. Then I will call TWC and tell em I need to return theirs and to send a pre-paid shipping container .....cuz you know why..... :evil2:
