Patterson endorses Dewhurst?

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Nothing like putting it into the public mind that an isolated depresson many years ago means someone will do some violent thing today with a gun. I voted for Patterson. I didn't like the way Patrick came across in the debate I saw. But now, I have seen better behavior from him than Dewhurst and Patrick. Frankly, I don't believe the long ago depressive incident, name change, or the money stuff they are carrying on about is nearly as bad as their behavior now.
It's all pretty ugly right now... hard to know what to believe...

At the moment, the decision maker for me is this...

In my gut, I don't like Patrick. I don't trust that Dan Patrick is running for me and not himself.
I have almost nothing to back that up factually, it really comes down to reading between the lines and reading into the way he's presented himself.

As much as I don't have any joy for Dewhurst, I'm hopeful that Pattersons support of him has some merit and I fall back on the fact that he's announced this will be his last term. Maybe we'll see 2 better choices in 4 years instead of one better choice running against Patrick as an incumbent.

I haven't voted yet, so, ...feel free to tell me where I'm wrong. :bigear:
A good friend of mine and I arrived at this conclusion for the same reason.
After hearing Dewhurst's 911 call to try and get a relative out of jail, using the verbiage that he is Lt Governor, there is no way I would ever vote for him. I allso believe Patrick will be better for the RKBA cause.

I got the impression he didn't really help the cause in 2013. I'm not saying he opposed us but it seemed he was more of a fair weather friend than a true help getting pro gun legislation through the Senate.

Same for Perry but at least I never have to vote for him again. :hurry:

I usually exercise my right to vote, but I am torn on this one. I guess I have until 7:00 to decide. :confused5

Looks like Patrick pulled off the win...
I suspect that the super sleazy ads and accusations about depression backfired on Dewhurst.

Just like it did with Ted Cruz. I think that people have gotten sick unto death with the politics of perosnal destruction as the norm.

It's why my wife and I voted for Patrick.
