That's true but it makes me wonder. Would people support similar restrictions on displaying religious faith in a public place or is it only the right to keep and bear arms they think should be infringed that way?

:iagree: It sounds like a good question to start asking the Brady Bunch and others supporting RKBA restrictions.

Chipotle is asking customers not to bring guns into its stores after it says gun rights advocates recently brought military-style assault rifles into one of its restaurants.

The Denver-based company notes that it has traditionally complied with local laws regarding open and concealed firearms.

But in a statement Monday, the company said that "the display of firearms in our restaurants has now created an environment that is potentially intimidating or uncomfortable for many of our customers."
Anyone care to guess which way they'll jump when OC passes?

I'm guessing the same way they jump now in States where it's currently legal.

If you're not convinced now I guess you never will be...

In your face open carry tactics will lead to more and more places posting 30.06.

You can count on it. If they continue, it's likely long gun OC will be made illegal as well.

I'm sure there are plenty of ideas being drafted as we speak. Now, instead of passing new gun laws, we will spend the next session debating and voting against ridiculous gun control legislation thanks to people who want to walk into a restaurant and have their picture taken with their AR at the low ready.

The tactics being used by some open carry supporters closely resemble the tactics by the left. I am starting to suspect that the leadership of some OC organizations have been infiltrated by the anti-gunners as no organization wanting to actually promote firearms and open carry would use these kind of tactics. This is straight out of the leftist in your face playbook!

:iagree: You might be on to something here. Just like I can't fathom what folks on the far left are thinking, I just can't seem to wrap my right wing brain around OCT tactics. It's totally contrary to common sense.

@Marmel: Kudos @ChipotleTweets for saying "no guns." And thanks, @OpenCarryTexas for making @MomsDemand's point yet again! #gunsense #everytown

Chipotle has now banned guns, but have stopped at not putting 30.06 on the door.

I saw one open carry guys on I20 this past Sat. I wanted to stop and talk about their stance. I'm leaning towards no. Simply because I don't know if they are allowed to carry fully loaded, one in the chamber, and the safety off. What if some psycho is standing in line to order and reaches over to pull the trigger? Too many variables to consider if they want to carry so openly.
If you carry a gun, people call you paranoid. Nonsense! If you carry a gun, what do you have to be paranoid about?

In Texas long guns are, for now, completely unrestricted. The Open Carry folks can legally carry with one in the chamber, safety on or off, and fully loaded if they wish. My training that I have received has always been that you carry a pistol ready to be used (round in the chamber, mag full, safety on if present) and a long in a condition where it can be made ready (loaded mag, empty chamber, bolt closed). As to how the person/people you saw were carrying I can not say.
How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?
