As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

Judge upholds DC gun control law

#1

Post by gthaustex »

A federal judge has just ruled that the current DC gun control law requiring registration of handguns and long guns and banning "assault" weapons and high capacity magazines is constitutional....

I'm not sure how he interprets "shall not be infringed", but it is obviously different than my interpretation. Isn't it ironic how the places with the most gun violence are those that are most restrictive on 2nd Amendment rights??? :mad5

He obviously either does not understand the constitution or has an "Agenda" of dictating law from the bench. Either should be grounds for impeachment. :mad5
I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on.
I don't do those things to other people and I require the same of them.

It's DC. The best response is to simply cut off their water and food supply and starve 'em out. Then burn the city down and relocate the entire population........to anywhere except Texas.

Speaking of constitutional amendments: Appointing Federal Judges for life was, and is, a terrible concept.

I think the British did that in 1812 and it still grew back.

That is not at all ironic, and I would suggest that to think so may betray a misunderstanding of the national debate, and such a misunderstanding does not further the cause of those in support of a different understanding of the 2nd Amendment that that of this judge.

The Men who signed the Constitution had some good ideas how to deal with government officials like that. :patriot:

Send them to Detroit, the Liberal's "model city".
