See, making videos like that is just plain childish, petty, and underhanded. It burns me to vote for someone who acts like that. If you want to point out someone has a history you think is questionable, then just state the information in a mature fashion. Let voters decide for themselves. The worst thing is this behavior shadows the Republican party.

I thought this was a joke, but it's being covered at even the national level. I won't vote for Dewhurst because he allowed Wendy Davis to become a household name.

I got the same email from Jerry Patterson, and I was a bit shocked. Like someone else pointed out, it doesn't wash that Patterson thought enough about Dewhurst's job performance that he decided to run for his job and now endorses him.

This is the senators race all over again. I now don't like either of these guys anymore. :mad5 Fortunately I will forget in time for the main race, but will the rest of Texas? This is all campaign fodder for the Texas Democratic Party. :banghead:

:iagree: Dewhurst and Patrick make Tarrant County OCT look genteel by comparison. :banghead:

I think they are both slime balls, but I trust Jerry. Rather than throw away my vote I'll honor Pattersons endorsement. But I'll write Dewhearst and tell him that is the only reason I vote for him

I find them to be equally scummy, but the Dewhurst ad that show Patrick with no shirt on and blatantly misrepresents what was actually going on put me over the top.

I'll be voting for Patrick, even though I have a pretty darn hard time swallowing that he co sponsored the DNA bill with....of all people...Wendy Davis.

I've listened to Dan Patrick on the radio for 20 years and am convinced he is a solid conservative. That said, I was torn between him and Patterson who I also respected (past tense) until Patterson, devoid of issues, hired a private investigator to dig up personal dirt on Patrick from, count 'em, over 30 years ago. Patrick has addressed those issues to my satisfaction. Yet Dewhurst continues to run those same allegations. I guess to tell the same lie often enough, some people will believe it. Remember Dewhurst made similar outlandeous claims about Ted Cruz. For those with a short memory, he (his PAC) claimed some kid in another state's suicide was somehow the result of a case Cruz was involved in when Solicitor General.

A few people on this forum that I know personally (and respect) have had dealings with Dan Patrick think he is suspect. I'm sure he is the only politician that meets that description.
The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Wow that's pretty low. I'm sure the chronically is enjoying "feeding the animals" also.

I heard Jerry on the Michael Berry show yesterday afternoon. Most of what I heard sounded like the kid who isn't picked for either team then goes and burns down the ball field so nobody gets to play. I know we owe Jerry Patterson a lot. But this latest stunt taints all of that hard work.
