Did I miss the celebration that he, unofficially, lost the Democratic party nomination in the primary?
What implications are there for 2A right by other incumbent losses or open seat nominations?
Lon Burnam's defeat

There may not be room for celebration. Not sure how Romero stands on gun rights. I would rather deal with someone where I know how they stand on the issues than an unknown party. With the one you know and have previously fought against you learn how to counter their tactics and manuver around them. With the unknown apponent you have to be alert for any angle from them.

Until then, the rest is window dressing in the 2nd Amendment area. Strauss is kept in power by Democrats and part of his payback to them is giving them a voice in matters like gun control that they wouldn't otherwise have. I don't know if the primary results are yet enough to unseat Strauss. Right now, I doubt it. If only the rest of Texas was cleaning house like North Texas is. Irving lost all of their "seasoned" members in one night. Tarrant County is well on its way on both sides of the isle.

I'm pretty sure it's WAY too early to tell. We might have a clue by this time next year.
Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence. - John Adams

I was wondering about the primaries?
I know a few were cleaned out and just wondered if it made a difference. I'm not sure if all the primaries have been been completed.
