NB: Read the above with a sense of humor. This should be on CNN ridicu-list.H. Senator Markey:
I just read your press release http://www.markey.senate.gov/news/press ... n-violence_" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; about gun control.
As I am very excited to see you push for such gun control that would only save one little life, I would appeal to you to introduce another US senate bill, called Motor Vehicle Common-Sense Control Bill for Public safety. More specifically, this law calls for :
Within the next 3 yrs after the bill is passed, all newly built motor vehicles and pre-owned motor vehicles to be equipped with:
1) A breath-in device to disable drunk drivers from operating said vehicles.
2) An IRIS scan device Or hand-palm scanning device to authentic the authorized operator of said vehicle.
After all, death by motor vehicles are at least 30,000 per yer. That is almost 82 death per day. The majority are due to reckless driving under the influence. Other main cause is unauthorized use of motor vehicle by minors or car thieves. If we can save 1 life with a good gun control measure, we could save 3 lives with good control of motor vehicles. Moreover such technology is readily available and is in public use.
I sincerely love to see you to introduce said US Senate bill.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon,
Beiruty.
