They're up to something. They've got a new angle they're going to try out. Guaranteed. Statists never give up their struggle to institute tyranny.

Perhaps Ed Schultz's opinion will evolve even further regarding concealed carry after he bones up on the statistics.

I predict they will claim to support gun ownership while using the latest Brady Bunch obfuscation of "gun safety" to advance the anti gun agenda with "common sense" proposals.

Sounds about right. They're probably losing market share too and this "rethinking" may have something to do with that. I used to be an MSNBC regular viewer until the rabid anit-gun venom drove me away. And while I hate to think I'm that malleable, the truth is my views on several other topics are different now than they were back then. I suspect that I'm not the only one. These guys may be facing an ugly truth about what they have to do to retain any influence over a reasonable segment of the viewing public.

Or, like you, they may have had a change of their views for entirely personal reasons. Does it matter why they've changed their views? I think not, as long as their views HAVE changed and they're not merely projecting a face that they THINK the viewers want.

And I'd have a permit that lets me pack. But I don't! . . .

Is it a true change of heart or are they adopting and adjusting their tactics? After Sandy Hook, the other side made a concerted effort to not use "gun control". This could be something along those lines i.e. "I support gun ownership, but we need universal background checks", or some sort.

Pretty much. And there are plenty of intelligence-challenged gun owners who will crow about how said libs are "pro-gun" now :???:

Apparently these two guys have problems making rationale conclusions if they need a CDC report to tell them "what or how" to think. What's extremely Logical to most of us on this forum concerning firearms is completely foreign to non thinking humans.
