And also opposing assault weapons bans. It is always good to have more and recent, peer-reviewed stuff like this published.

Fox News has picked it up. They are likely to be the lone voice in the MSM

Since everyone benefits from lower crime, perhaps conservative politicians should propose a tax on everyone who doesn't have a chl.

Can anyone find a link to the actualy study?

I just think that our side needs to be the side of integrity and even if I agree with the premise, I am a bit leery of quoting this when I can't read the actual study/article.

If it available electronically, it was out of my reach. I tried everything that I could think of. I agree with you that I would hate to support it and then be blindsided later when it is discovered to be a fraud.

Unfortunately for us, it appears to be a paid download. Posting the full thing here would be unethical, and we shouldn't stoop to that level.

But seeing the full thing would be good - it appears the anti-crowd has also read only the abstract, and has already decided to cherry-pick the conclusions they want to see out of it:

Your best option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.
When those fail, aim for center mass.

Yeah, a debate can very easily be dismissed as simpleminded or disingenuous once a bad quote, or similar, is found out. I don’t want to give anyone easy outs.

Agreed, no need for piracy or taking intellectual property. I guess it does further my suspicions. I am surprised the bigger players aren’t getting this public. By no means a blanket condemnation, just a note for further review.
