ricor asks:"how will you assure us that criminals will be disallowed from carrying illegal weapons?"

Perhaps walk thru metal detectors, wanding...? What?

Please include the above in your emails to Sprouts.

Or do illegal guns get a pass?

I have a weird idea. I have no idea if it's a good idea, but it's an idea.

I'd love to keep all my central market receipts. Mail them to Sprouts after a month. "This is the business you don't want."

I really wish a whole foods or another health food store would open closer. I think that's the big reason I'm being such a whiny crybaby about this, there's nothing else really close. :(

I got the same canned letter back from them. I will respect their wishes and not come to their store.

I've never gone into Sprouts - as a matter of fact, I didn't even know that we had one close to our home here in the Houston Westchase area. But since I've seen this posting, I now noticed one not too far away, so I stopped by today. I walked up the the front door (fully armed, but ready to turn around once I spotted the sign), and looked everywhere, but found none. I walked into the foyer between the outer door and the inner door - and again, found nothing. I walked in by the registers, looking for anything, and I walked back out the other door, looking as hard as I could as I left (including turning around and looking backwards.

To sum up, I tried as hard as I could to see one, but there was no sign there at the store on 11940 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077. I understand from the writing on this thread that this is a corporate policy, but this store is evident that it's (a) not being applied equally in all locations, or (b) it may no longer be policy. I welcome others who have seen the signs in the other stores to check back again, and let us know what you see.

There's not one in Rusk either. We do have a grocery, Sonic, DQ, several churches, a couple fillin' stations and a hard likker store, etc., none of which are posted. :smilelol5:

There is a relatively new McDonalds; however, we've not tried it. When I first came across this post, I thought it was about somebody's kids or something.

No Sprouts in East Texas that I am aware of.

Fresh is a great store for specialty stuff...the normal stuff you definitely get better prices at the walmart. I can get steaks and cole slaw for two nights worth of dinner for $10...their cole slaw is awesome. Their fresh bread in their bakery is great. Their wine and beer selection is out of this world with mostly the same prices you get everywhere else. They are the only place I know that still has the onion tater tots that walmart used to have.

I will agree that the majority of the patrons there tend to be of the snooty sort but I go in there on a regular basis. The employees are above average in their knowledge and courtesy. We have always went to brookshires stores for meats while getting everything else at walmart (walmart meats suck...lol).
