As written the law would make it impossible for me, and I suspect many others, to register any guns, much less magazines. There is no way I could "prove" I bought the gun before the deadline, and since magazines don't have serial numbers, it would be impossible to prove I bought them before the deadline even if I had receipts. In fact, even if you have a receipt for a gun, it doesn't really "prove" you bought it before a deadline, since you could have sold it before the deadline and bought it back afterwards.

A very well written essay. I especially liked his comments on disarming its citizens to increase the governments power over those citizens. He also mentions that it is estimated that governments have killed about 262 million of its own citizens in the 20th century alone.
We live In a country that we consider to be relatively free. One wonder how long it would have lasted if its citizens were not armed.
