On a Side note Charles mentioned a famous figure in civil rights, The first person who can tell me who he mentioned AND the added significance of that person being mentioned on the day we recorded the episode will be mentioned will get their username mentioned/added in the show notes.
I may have missed a bit by listening between calls but the only "civil rights" figure I recall was the New Black Panthers who carried openly as an intimidation move at the RNC and as a result got the preemption law diluted allowing municipalities to restrict the carrying of firearms in certain locations, CHLs exempted.
Sorry, but it was not them, he said this person's name once and here's a hint "her"

He mentioned Rosa Parks by name, and it is significant because the podcast was recorded on December 1st; the same day in which she famously refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus when ordered to do so by the bus driver.

did the OCT person ever join? I got about a 1/3 of the way through and it didn't seem like it yet.

No they never showed, but did you make it to where Charles Cotton phoned in? If not, you should go back and listen to it. It's good stuff.

My part begins at 19:32. I didn't realize I talked that long. I'm sure some folks are thinking, "of course you did, you're a lawyer!"

Never give the microphone to a lawyer or politician.

You did well. It was good hearing you talk about the issues. Sure wish the open carry guy would have made it. I think hearing and exchange between the two of you would be good. Maybe you scared them off.

We have a winner! I see your from Lubbock, which is about 80 miles north-north-east of here we (Myself and Ray) are located, Kind of cool.

Regarding OCT. I was in communication with them today, and found out they expected me to call them although I never received a number from them to call. We are working something out with them to get them on. I doubt it will be a live episode with the holiday comming up, but we will get them out there. On a related note, I did not set the low pass filter on the mixer for the call in lines and that is why people could not hear Charles on the live show. The issue has been fixed with masking tape and a written note.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the statement by the in studio guest where he stated, "I don't care what the constitution says..."
I'm also surprised neither of the hosts challenged him when he made that statement.

I was too busy keeping Ray from throttling Steven to say anything while Ray was changing colors and getting ready to strike... It didn't go unchallenged, in the end it was eventually dealt with off podcast.

Glad to hear that. Please don't take this as telling you how to run your show, I wouldn't do that. But perhaps you might consider a clarification on your next broadcast. Up to that point Ray was agreeing with much of what Steve was saying. I wouldn't want any of your listeners to think that a lack of on air challenge by Ray or yourself was somehow an endorsement of his statement.

I did notice that. My ears perked up as I certainly did not expect to hear something like that on the Progun Podcast, but I felt the host did address it indirectly by restating the constitutional right.

All in all, I enjoyed the podcast. Good job! I look forward to hearing future shows.

Well, work has begun on episode 48, while not live I have managed to get an interview with CJ Grisham and that episode will drop a week from this coming Monday (December 16, 2013). This is not a hard hitting interview, its more of a friendly phone call, but I will post the entire podcast with the interview here on this thread when released (It may drop on Sunday night). A word or two will need to be edited but the interview will be posted in it's entirety unedited in the show notes. While things may slip through from time to time we try to keep our languange rated G.

Episode 48 with an interview of C.J. Grisham (President of OCT) is now up and live.
The episode (two bleeped words) is here: http://traffic.libsyn.com/progunpodcast ... st-048.mp3" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and the unedited version of just the interview is here: http://traffic.libsyn.com/progunpodcast ... erview.mp3" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just for the record there was one person (very deserving and on this forum) that received access to the interview in advance, and the document C.J. Grisham said he would email me has not been received yet.

Interesting interview. I would've liked to hear him speak more about the idea of in-your-face tactics vs other methods of education and respond to those who criticize the former. Perhaps that can be something for a future interview.
