Bystander recorded on her cell phone the confrontation between the unarmed homeless man and the officer. Didn't sound like the homeless man was following her instructions, but it also didn't sound like he was doing anything to harm her other than using the B word.

The wonderful paradise of Southern California.

Well that video pretty well lacks anything conclusive other than the voice of the man and a shot. Could very well be a justified shoot.

Could go either way. I know there are many bad cops out there, but they are far outnumbered by good ones. I have a hard time believing he was killed just for calling a police officer a bad name.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

She exited her patrol car, gun drawn, and asked the gentlemen to get on the ground. The gentlemen didn’t get on the ground, he was still inside the restaurant. She asked again. The man then exited the restaurant, and as he was exiting the restaurant, he said, ‘What are you gonna do, b—-?’ About a second later, she shot him in the chest,” he said.
Sounds like he came toward her in an aggressive aggressive manner.(She was standing in front of the door as he exited, challenging her with profanity.) If she couldn't clearly see his hands and he was as close as it seems he must have been, then by my reckoning, it was a completely justified response.

In the "political area" maybe because the State broadcast he was a "convicted burglar" immediately after the execution to justify the act?

I firmly believe criminals get what they deserve as long as they are criminals in the act of being criminals and this guy may have been a scumbag and probably was.

Too many LEO's are shooting innocent Law Abiding Citizens and sorting it out later. This is why we have a Constitution full of safeguards to protect every individual. Not just the affluent. It upsets us all that guilty people get away with murder and we say criminals have more rights than Law Abiding Citizens....

No Due Process needed here since he was accused, tried, convicted and executed all in a matter of minutes. And he was also unarmed except for a foul mouth. I guess we shall see how this plays out...

OTOH, I hear that there are a lot of homeless people in Kalifornia, a whole lot.

Video is now everywhere. Even when the police also arrest the videographer.

The missing sound would have been helpful. I suspect the man in this incident in a hotel lobby in Indianapolis did not pass the attitude test.

Sounds to me that he got his question answered. One shouldn't be using profanity in addressing anyone. Someone wants to be angry at the world, expect a response in return. An armed society is a polite society. :tiphat:

I tend to agree. It seems topics have veered more to who shot whom and/or if I shoot somebody, is it okay?

There's absolutely nothing in that video to support the theory that the officer fired without justification, or to support the title of this thread.
